ILS is an internationally recognized language school in the center of Bern. Our school supports people from every age group and background with the acquisition of foreign languages. We offer courses in German, French, English Spanish and Italian on all levels. Another core area of the school is the organization of language stays in Bern. We welcome students from every part of the world, who, thanks to our experienced teachers, progress quickly in their endeavors to learn the German language. As a licensed test center for telc exams and as an EduQua certified language school, we guarantee utmost quality when it comes to language learning.

"Great immersive experience. Great use of 4 weeks of my stay in Switzerland."

The teacher was great. The book was great. The super intensive course is no joke. If you put in the work, the course is designed for students to be successful. However, students with situations that do not allow them to put in the work slow down the class as a whole. The classrooms could be made more compatible with the classes it needs to accommodate.

"Great language learning experience in the heart of Basel"

ILS was a great opportunity for a traveling tourist who had an interest in continuing language learning. They were able to accommodate my travel schedule, which was very much appreciated!

The location, near SBB, could not have been more convenient.

I took a combination of small group classes followed by private instruction. This structure helped me identify reinforcement points in the afternoon. Other students were very diligent and interested - established the right environment for learning. Be prepared for afterschool assignments (~1 hour) outside of the instruction time.

Course materials were interesting, and more importantly, well-paced. A lot was covered in a week!

"High quality language school"

A well-organized school in a good location close to Basel SBB Railway station. The teacher was excellent. There were only three students in the class so the teacher had enough time for all the students. The education focused on conversation, but there were also grammar and writing. The classrooms didn't have air-conditioning but there was a big fan in the room.
