Course description

A course suited for all levels, for students with very specific needs or for those who want to study at their own pace, either fast or slow! Also, this course can work for those that need their schedule to be flexible.

The course includes everything included in all our courses: course certificate, activity program, level testing, etc. Course program includes cultural activities (free) and excursions to hot spots around San José (some for free).

Private lessons can be focused on general Spanish but also any othe topics or themes like Medical Spanish or Business Spanish.

Founded in 1986, Academia Tica is a leader in Spanish teaching in Central America. With 2 beautiful campuses in attractive locations, the school is glad to provide Spanish courses, accommodation services, an activity program, tourism services, internship opportunities and volunteering (community service work) in Costa Rica.

Academia Tica is a DELE Exam Center. We have professional teachers with high qualifications and an experienced staff for the most personalized attention.

School location

Jacó Beach is the surf mecca of Costa Rica. Nearby beaches like Playa Hermosa and Esterillos have hosted international surf contests like the World Surfing Games in 2009. Jacó offers waves for beginners and advanced surfers too!

As one of the most important coastal towns in the country, Jacó offers exciting activities and gastronomic options. Activities range from zip-lining tours or a canopy tram to visits to important National Parks like Carara or Manuel Antonio.

Academia Tica Jacó has a nice pool to chill on hot days. You can also rent a bike to go around town and book surf lessons. Tuition quality is the same for both our schools (check our Coronado campus), this means that you can enjoy both locations for everything they have to offer!

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $30 when you register.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Jacó based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
