(a) Programs (Diploma):Cosmetology (10-13 Months), Barbering (10-13 Months), Massage Therapist (5-7 Months), Electrolysis (3 Months), Paramedical Esthetician (6-7 Months), Skin Care (2-4 Months), Makeup & SkinCare (5-7 Months), Nail Technician (2-4 Months), Full Specialist (5-7 Months) *. (b) Seminars (Certificate): Permanent Makeup (5 Days), Makeup Artistry (3 Days), C.E. - Laser Hair Removal (3 Days), Eyelash Extension (4 days), Body Wrapping-State Registration (2 Days), Vidal Sassoon (2 Months) * 2) What is the duration of Programs? * The durations above are based upon a fulltime schedule. Students may take as little as 18 hours per week which will then significantly extend the program length. 3) Can students combine more than one Program? Most incoming international students combine a few of our programs and seminars together when enrolling, for example, Cosmetology, followed by Barbering or Skin Care. Students can work between courses for up to one month for every 4 months of study.. 4) How much are the Tuition Fees? Tuition Fees range from USD 2,300 (2-4 months) to USD 15,000 (10-13 months) (see price list for details). 5) What are the Preferred Payment System? Wire Transfer (or other approved payment; most cases cash, money order, check, certified check or credit card (3.5%-4% processing fee) are approved) for course(s) tuition. 50% of the total tuition is required to complete the I-20. Balance of the tuition is due two weeks prior to start. (Note: Further complete details will be sent assuming that your application to be a representative agent is approved). 6) Which persons are eligible to sponsor? Those whom can demonstrate sufficient financial resources via bank statements or similar. 7) How much are the Application Fees? (a) Payable to School - USD 100 application fee for acceptance with completed application. (b) Payable to School - A non-refundable international student registration fee of USD 350.00. 8) Do you provide Visa Assistance? Please see attached document with the Life Cycle of the M-1 Process. The applicant and agent are responsible for completing the visa application and applying for the visa. 9) Is admissions date flexible throughout the year, or only at the beginning of each semester? Most classes start monthly so we are highly flexible-please refer to the attached Calendar. 10) You are seeking agents to recruit M-1 students. Can you accept applicants for F-1 visas? Our school is a trade/vocational school authorized by SEVIS for M-1 Visas, not F-1 visas, due to the relatively shorter program durations. 11) How many students do you currently have? The two campuses currently have about 300 students enrolled. 12) What nationalities are most of your students from? Currently students come from all over the world with most students coming from USA (70%), Brazil (10%) , Columbia (5%) , Bahamas (5%) , the remaining 10% come primarily from these countries : Bermuda, Jamaica, Canada, UK, China and Israel. We are seeking to increase numbers in these counties and also to diversify to recruit students from new countries. 13) What are your Entry Requirements? Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. There is no specific English language test required but students must also be conversant in English: as long as students can read English without a problem, that is the main criteria. As far as speaking, conversational knowledge rather than fluency is fine. 14) Regarding Student Accommodation? We do not offer on campus housing however there are a large range of homestay options and the a Hilton Suites hotel is right on our campus. There is a bus stop that drops off at our campus, but most of our I-20 students take Uber or Lyft or Carpool or Bus. We can provide recommendations for local housing if the student has access to a car. 15) Is a study gap allowed? Limited travel breaks can be taken upon prior approval of CEO and school designation on the student I-20 visa or similar. 16) Is Boca Beauty Academy accredited? Yes. Boca Beauty Academy is Nationally Accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. We are a licensed post-secondary vocational school under the Florida Department of Education. License # 3003. 17) What certificate do students receive upon graduation? Students receive an accredited Diploma and/or a Certificate from our institution. If they are not US Citizens or Green Card holders they do not sit for licensure exams in the USA. 18) Are there working opportunities during study? Students on M-1 Visa are NOT permitted to work during their studies. However, after completing the courses students can work for a period of 1 month for every 4 months of study. 19) What are the progression options after graduation? These depend upon the program. The labor market globally is exceedingly strong in our programs that focus upon anti-aging, image, and cosmetology/barber. Opportunities exist for employment on Cruise ships, in resort hotels, day spas, Medi-Spas, Laser Hair Removal Centers, Salons, Massage Therapy Practices, Physicians’ Offices such as Dermatologists and Chiropractic practices, Hollywood/South Beach/NYC/Paris/London for Makeup Artistry, Barber shops/Men’s Grooming centers, Nail Spas, Waxing Centers, etc. Many of our grads start their own businesses as well, and some rent booths or chairs at established salons and spas. 20) What are Boca Beauty Academy’s Unique Selling Points: THE BOCA BEAUTY ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE Entering 27th year of operations.
