Obtaining the Diploma in Hispanic Studies is subject to follow at least two courses and it is necessary to do the work entrusted to each of them.
To choose any of these courses, a minimun of four students enrolled is required.
Students taking this 20-hour course will be introduced to the main features of The Quixote (genre, plot, characters, language, style…) and to deepen in the reasons of its capital importance in both Spanish and worldwide literary production. We will come to know about Cervantes, his life, and what role the historical context he lived in played into his works.
This programme aims to provide students with the historical references and scopes needed to understand the social and political changes in Spain during the last decades, as well as the main characters that played an important role during the process. This Spanish Culture and Civilization Course is aimed at students who want to deepen the culture, history and customs of Spain in addition to knowing the language.
In the course you will work grammar, conversation, culture and civilization, deepening customs, popular sayings, art, geography, national and employer holidays, cultural roots, etc.
