ESL is an intensive English class that has been designed to provide students with the necessary language skills and basic information needed to function successfully in American society. The program is designed to provide students with dramatically improved language skills by using a standardized, intensive, and a comprehensive curriculum, which integrates listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

The REAL program prepares international students to achieve the English language proficiency required for success in an academic degree program and as a professional in their respective field of study. Eight 8-week courses take students from elementary to upper intermediate English proficiency in all skills--reading, writing, listening, speaking, pronunciation, and grammar through an integrated communicative approach, with an emphasis on academic language and cross cultural communication.

The objectives of this course are to introduce students to problem-solving, critical thinking, and professional communication through integrated skills. The emphasis is on how to use formal vocabulary and expressions in business-related environments both orally and in written form.

The objectives of this course are to familiarize students with the many different aspects of American culture such as greetings, gestures, dating, tipping, safety laws, health, holidays, education, shopping, and values. As students are introduced to certain topics they will be able to converse and convey their personal opinions, argue a point of view, and share and discuss experiences.
