Everything is about motivation. Now I know it for sure. Now I can say, that Avalon International Academy gave me not only English language skills, but the most important things ever — the freedom to talk and the incredible confidence in this world. So I can say, that Aaron and Ellie are not only English teachers, but mentors with the most deep understanding of the importance of the meaning of this word. And they take all the responsibility for us, whom they taught. We are friends for more than 7 years.
Well, for me a Teacher is a person, who does not give you the information as a rule (though I agree, that in language-studying it should be so), but gives you the right explanation why it is so. It is like he shares a secret knowledge (for us — not-native speakers — it was English) and motivates you to accept and recognize this knowledge as your own experience.
It was the first time ever in my life when I got the opportunity to turn studying in my own experience of life. English became a need.
I have been studying English since 5 y.o with varied success. But only in Avalon International Academy I started to talk, started to describe the world in English words, to describe myself and to accept the world as it is.
What is the result?
Now I am 23 y.o documentary-filmmaker, an independent artist, a storyteller, sharing my deeply personal stories and experiences all around the world. I have this power of storytelling because of Aaron and Ellie, who taught me to be brave no matter what.
I have visited 63 countries in the world, half of them — with camera. I studied in Venice, graduated in Moscow, worked as a journalist, writer, art-dealer and photographer for more than 5 years. I met a lot of people on my way and hope to meet more.
Now I am eager to become a peacemaker and a member of United Nations to stand for values, in which I believe.
All this opportunities gave me the most international language in the world — English. And the most humane and important school Avalon International Academy.
I've been having the best time with the best teachers I could ask for !!! They are not only kind and funny but also very professional and helpful with their teaching!! They thought me English whilst having fun and keeping me always interested in all their fascinating activities.
Also,I loved Torbay as a place to stay and my host family was very welcoming.
I enjoyed deeply our activities around Torbay like Dartmoor, Plymouth aquarium, castles and Totnes!!
And I loved going to the beach, it really felt like the place was full of life but also calm
Where you can be relaxed and at the same time enjoy all the activities!
Highly recommend !!!!

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from Avalon. Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
