School location

Querétaro is located in Central Mexico, about 2.5 hours northwest of Mexico City. Little-known to tourists, it offers an authentic Mexican experience to foreign visitors. It also happens to be one of Mexico's safest, best-planned metro areas.

The city of Santiago de Querétaro itself is home to all kinds of attractions. To name a few, there is Liga MX football (soccer), the famous colonial-era aqueduct, the Museo Regional, Cerro de las Campanas (resting place of Emperor Maximilian), Teatro de la República, shopping malls, markets, beautiful plazas and more.

In the region of Querétaro, there are many additional sights which will make your visit worthwhile. Here are a few:

The world's tallest monolith (Peña de Bernal)
The town of Bernal
The beautiful Sierra Gorda range
Freixenet Vineyards
Teotihuacan
Desert habitats (great hiking, 4-wheeling, etc.)
Tequisquiapan's celebrated hot springs, spas and crafts
The Monarch Butterfly Biosphere in Michoacán
San Juan del Rio
San Miguel de Allende
