Dialogo Language Services
The advantages of an one-to-one course- 3 hours daily - are a great flexibility in schedule and programs and attention to the participant's specific language objectives to obtain quick results. The program is "tailored" to the participant's needs. General Italian can be combined with lessons focused on specific languages related to the student's profession and interests.
Lessons include grammar and exercises. Other units are dedicated to the use of the language through reading newspaper and magazine articles, description of images, texts reworking, reading exercises and pronunciation. An important part is hearing songs or native speaking dialogues, watching videos to develop the comprehension ability. Conversation on different subjects as well as role plays are widely used to facilitate the acquisition of the typical speech situation phraseology.
To satisfy different styles of learning and to meet the needs of all who participate, the materials we use are extremely varied: books (up to B2 level), newspaper and magazine articles, videos, film, advertisements, news programms, and a variety of audio visual materials.
Cultural activities are organized by the school staff each week during the afternoon to make the language course even more interesting and enjoyable: special lessons about cinema, literature, conversation, writing and many other subjects as well as a cultural activity chosen among guided tours, museums, cinemas, cooking, wine tasting and others according also to the cultural programs offered by Turin and Piedmont during the course period.

After playing a central role in Italian political and industrial history, Turin and Piedmont showed their capacity to reinvent themselves: Piemont is nowadays a region with proven scientific know-how, at the avant-garde of innovation and new technology.
Piedmont boasts imposing mountain chains which are home to internationally-renowned ski resorts, hills covered with vineyards where Barolo and Barbaresco wines are produced and plains which include the main rice fields in Europe. National parks, protected river areas, and lakes round up the extraordinary natural richness of the region.
The 15 Royal Residences, ascribed to UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites, are an artistic and cultural treasure which enrich Piedmont.
Past and future, art and the culture, exquisite food and excellent wines, handicrafts and research are all well rooted in a region with a powerful productive impulse.
Art lovers, food lovers, history and literature experts, cinema fans, sports fans, shopaholics….
everyone can feel at home in Piedmont and in Turin.
If you simply like to wander around Turin fascinating streets, you will be intrigued by the protective shadow of its arcades and by the surprising interweaving of baroque and contemporary architecture. Not to mention the wide offer in museums and art galleries, the several multicolored markets, the tour of the Juventus football stadium, the peaceful walks along the river Po in the lovely park Valentino, a few minutes away from the lively city center. All this in an amazing alpine setting which can be enjoyed from the top of the Mole Antonelliana, the city symbol.
This is exactly what every language student would experience once they set foot in Turin and in Piedmont.
The Italian lessons provided by Dialogo Language Services are in fact conceived as a journey not only in the secrets of the language but also in the reach and varied aspects of the Italian culture.
Italian lessons in the classroom are combined with classes outside the school, around the city to learn the language through activities concerning art, literature, architecture but also cooking and wine tasting, films and sport. The success of this kind of courses is granted by the relaxed atmosphere where the competence of the school staff and the professionalism of the cooperating experts can be performed without overshadowing the participants' objectives.
For those who mainly focus on language learning, Dialogo Language Services offer a range of intensive courses where the most relevant target is accompanying the course participants to master the Italian language. The lessons aim at the four skills necessary to improve the language knowledge: reading, speaking, hearing and writing with a special eye kept on the communication ability.
All the students really appreciate the small groups (3-6 participants), the precise level assessment previous to the course start, the teacher's competence, the staff ability to stay constantly focused on their needs and objectives as well as the visible linguistic progress, even in a short term course.
Our greatest satisfaction lays in the several students coming back to Turin to re-enroll in other courses with Dialogo Language Services, results at CILS/TELC exams and all the positive valuations our students write to us at the end of each course!

Very friendly people, were committed to my concern.
The hours at Alessio were exactly what I hoped for. Individual support for my deficits, reasonably demanding, a lot of patience and interesting information about politics and culture of Italy.
I am very grateful for this week.
I really liked the lessons because we were in a small group and the teachers explained us well! the city was beautiful and the teachers taught us a lot about TorinoShow details » Read more...

I really learnt a lot in only one month! The location of the school (city center) is perfect to arrive by means of the public transport, that works well in Torino.
The teachers, Elena and Fiorella, are very friendly and nice and make the classes be very dynamic and pleasant so that you can learn in the best possible way.
Also every week you are going to do a cultural activity in which you are going to learn a lot of things about the city and the Italian culture.
You are going to feel as if you were at home!
very good atmosphere, meeting nice people and a very nice teacher.Show details » Read more...
The lessons were funny but I could concentrate. There was no pressure and I just slipped into speaking Italian while joking. At the same time I got all the help I needed and I was taken seriously.
On my first day it was hard to find the location but in those two weeks I got used to the buses, trams and to the underground. I really enjoyed my lunchtime in Parco Valentino.
My class was very small, only 2 students from the same country, counting me. But the teachers were enough they had enough common sense to assemble the classes in a homogeneous way. The teaching was excellent and the extra-class activities were also interesting.Show details » Read more...
The classes were small. There were only 4 students in my class, including myself. The teachers were nice: motivated and full of energy. It was easy taking the subway from my host family to the school. On Wednesday afternoon, there was an interesting excursion. Sightseeing in Torino. Really worthwhile participating!
I was very happy with my guest family. I had breakfast and dinner with them. The lady liked to cook. Every evening a nice, Italian, meal.
The stay in Dialogo Language school was a great experience.
The teachers were friendly and motivated with excellent teaching skills.
The atmosphere in the class was nice and the teachers tried to make us talk a lot, the advantage was that there were only four students in my class. I took part in the two afternoon after class activities proposed in the week I was there and they both were worth it.
The schools location is good, next to a park and near to public transport.
All in all a great experience, thank you Fiorella, Elena and Maria!
For me it was the first time that I attended a course like this and it was okay. I think they should do some more interactive stuff, like dialogues, games; but so far it was not bad. I only stayed one week so it is not easy to say a lot. The trip we did one afternoon was nice for me; but you should use this experience the next day for the lesson.
Maybe they should give the students more possibilities to talk. But for me as a tourist it was okay.
I didn't like the change of the teacher (for the last day it was another person and I didn't know why they did that, because the first teacher was there.)
The opportunity to stay with locale people is great and you are able to use the language, so I was happy with it.
it has been a pleasure to hear from you and we thank you very much for your opinion. It is always important to know what our students think and how we can improve. We are glad to know that it was Okay for you!
Just to respond to your review:
- The last day of your course you had another teacher, since the first one was busy with a previously fixed course. However this can happen in any language school and all of us are qualified to teach Italian. The lesson was done according to the scheduled program. This didn't prevent the teacher to be flexible enough to respond to your request concerning special items.
- Concerning the cultural activity it was subject of discussion and description from the students in class the day after in order to use the tenses learned during the week and summarizing. We are sorry you didn't like the teacher.
- Considering the opportunity for students to talk during class we are surprised you had this impression, because this is one thing we especially take care of and no other student had ever pointed out before.
You stayed with us 1 week in a standard group course where all parts and all activities (grammar, listening, speaking, writing) are well balanced so that students can really improve all their skills even for just 1 week.
Of course, there are students more fond of talking, telling about their experiences, playing games and other students who prefer not to take part to it.
On the first day we usually ask what students like to do most during the classes and as you know it happens that someone clearly says she doesn't like to play!
We are however glad you liked Turin and Italian people. We hope you improved your Italian and wish you all the best !
It's has a good location.
The classrooms were nice.
Classes were, for me, just long enough and variable.
My teacher was good and has a good method of explaining things.
My experience at Dialogo Language Services was very nice. I was able to get to the facility by metro in no time and it's next to a huge park where I went to have lunch after my lessons. As I had one to one private lessons 3 hours a day, it was really exhausting for me, but I think it was also the best way to learn the language as quick as possible. Furthermore my teacher was great, as she noticed my weaknesses and practiced those things with me spontaneously.Show details » Read more...
Dear Philippa, thanks a lot! It was a pleasure for me to teach you and I hope your exam was successful.
A presto ! Elena
“lo ho imparato un sacco” (I learned a lot!)
It was my first Italian course and I only attended for 4 days. The teachers were excellent and were determined to have us finish our course with practical speaking skills. The course was entirely in Italian. Although I am a beginner and dyslexic, I have an affinity for learning languages. On the first day, I was placed in the intermediate class, and it was a bit daunting and challenging. Their extracurricular activities are really nice, and the staff is also really nice.
I recommend this school and I will attend again. Even after 4 short days, I am now able to form simple sentences and understand the grammar.
My experience with Dialogo Language services was great. The learning groups were small and the classes were tailored to fit our personal weakness. Both of the teachers, Fiorella and Elena, were very caring, fun and outgoing people, who made sure we were pleased with the experience. They would ask us what aspects we liked or not about the language learning experience, to make sure to adapt their teaching style. The outdoors activities were very informative and interesting to get to know the city better. I would have loved if the outside activities were more often than once a week.Show details » Read more...

Dear Carla, thank you very much. It has been a great pleasure to meet you. We wish you all the best and look forward to hearing from you very very soon. Saluti da Torino !
I participated in a one-week learning course. The location of the school was very comfortable and in a very secure and pleasant quarter. At all times, it was very clear that the teachers were very knowledgeable and had excellent teaching skills. Their attitude toward the students was excellent, and they had all the patience for us to have an excellent learning experience. Also, they had the flexibility to adapt to small different circumstances that arose in dynamic courses, and they were able to offer us the best alternatives possible. On top of that, the teachers accompanied us in a tour around the city, which was very very valuable and better than any tour we could have taken because our teacher had outstanding knowledge of the city, its history, and everything that could be of our interest.
In summary, everything was excellent. It is a highly recommendable school. Frankly speaking, there was nothing I could criticize or I found not to be optimum.
it has been a great pleasure to meet you and have you among our students. We are very satisfied you enjoyed your course and the cultural activities. If you will have occasion to come back we will be happy to see you again. Continua a studiare perchè sei molto bravo ! A presto
My experience on this trip was very enriching.
The classes were excellent and the teacher (Mrs. Elena) was very helpful, knowledgeable and caring.
The school's location, as well as the housing, was also very good. It was next to the Metro lines and bus stops.
As I was to perform my doctorate activities, I had the opportunity to participate in many extra activities. One was a walk through historic sites of the city. The Fiorela lady (who guided us on the tour and who is also a professor at the school) was very helpful and prepared.
The villa was also alright. I just had a little problem with respect to access the internet, but that was resolved.
Dialogo is a very good institute to learn the Italian language and about the Italian culture in a fun way! The classes and activities are very interesting and different every week and the teachers have excellent skills! The school is located in a nice area of Turin and can be reached easily. In general it's a very good course!Show details » Read more...
The teachers are very professional, and combine the teaching of more complex grammar while simultaneously developing conversation skills.
Facililties and location are okay. The school is easy to find and there is parking nearby.
Activities are more focussed on full-time students in that they take place during the working day. This was no good to me as I work full-time. I don't remember seeing any evening or weekend activities advertised.
I really enjoyed the in-depth lessons in the mini-group and the individual class. The teachers really tried to make the class the most interesting for us. The location is ideal to explore the city after school. Cooking class at the home of one of the teachers was a lot of fun and on the city trip a lot of information was provided about history, culture and people of Torino.
I really recommend Dialogo School to everyone that wants to learn Italian off the beaten track of conventional language school destinations!
Classes ranged between 2-6 students: Which means more attention on an individual level. Being immersed in the language makes it easier to pick up things that you would not elsewhere. The rooms were always tidy and organzied with an easy learning environment.
The teachers are kind and ready to teach, very patient even with the slowest of learners(me), they also organize activities such as tours, cooking classes, theater visits, wine tastings and other excursions.
The location is great, there is a park within walking distance (3 minutes), a coffee shop around the corner, it is also close the the metro/subway with little shops along the way and near the downtown core.
Overall it is a great experience and I would recommend it. I'm learning alot about the italian language and culture.
I really enjoyed learning at Dialogo Language Services in Torin. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again for another Italian course to keep improving my language skills.
I highly recommend students to find out how fantastic methodologies teachers use at the time of teaching languages.
You will even feel as if you were at your own home, its quite tailor made service, then, dont loose your time and go there.
I had the pleasure to meet my teacher Fiorella and her partner Elena there and thery definitely the kind of people that you will never forget.
I had a private class and the teacher was really good. I learned a lot, although it was not enough yet.
Also the rest of the staff was really nice. I liked the Geographic class - that was the only extra activity I did while I was there.
