For those looking to study Mandarin Chinese, Omeida Chinese Academy offers students a bridge into the dynamic, historic and utterly engaging South of China.

We provide quality Chinese language tuition (Comprehensive, HSK preparation, intensive, private courses etc) and cultural immersion to students from all around the world at all levels and ages in Yangshuo, Guangxi province, South of China.

With multiple courses and programs to choose from, Omeida offers the flexibility for you to reach your Chinese language goals and have the time of your life.

Whether you are joining us for intensive spoken Chinese program, attending one of our 18-week academic term courses, enjoying a one-on-one tailor-made course, or working together with us in the volunteer program, you will find that Omeida provides the perfect opportunity to be immersed in the Chinese language and culture.

We integrate our Chinese school for foreigners with our English school for native Chinese students, located on the same block, allowing endless opportunities for interaction, cooperation and cultural exchange.

Our “language partner program”, in which students get a free 1-on-1 tutoring with native Chinese speakers learning English, is an excellent time to get help with your homework, review core concepts of the days lessons, or simply hangout and practice your Chinese.

The school also provides Visa support, optional health insurance and English speaking staff that is always available to help students so they can be fully confident to enjoy their experience in China.

The twin dorm bedrooms are to be shared with a student from China, which will greatly benefit your Chinese language progress, while practicing in daily life what you've learned in class.

And as mentioned above, all rooms include air conditioning, heating, internet access and a desk. You also have your own ensuite bathroom including a toilet, a shower and your own hot water tank for 24 hour hot water service. You will also have free access to a washing machine.

There is a small extra charge for the electricity that you use during your stay with us. This will usually be between RMB 50 and RMB 150 per month per person depending on season and usage, in particular how often the air conditioner and shower heaters are used. If you are sharing your room, this price is divided by both occupants.

For an additional 100RMB per week, Omeida Chinese Academy can provide a fully furnished single room with a private bathroom to ensure you have an enjoyable stay in Yangshuo. These rooms can either have twin beds or double beds and is depending on availability and is for single occupancy.

As with the shared accommodation, please note that there is an additional charge for electricity. This is usually be between RMB 50 and RMB 150 per month, depending on season and usage, in particular how often the air conditioner and shower heaters are used.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged ¥ 500 when you register.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Guilin based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

Travel insurance

Study abroad worry-free with Language International's health and personal effects insurance coverage. When you book a course with us, you can opt to purchase an international insurance plan that covers not only your health care cost but also loss of your personal belongings. You must book your insurance in advance when you register.

"Hi, I know you don’t do the visa however what is your experience from other students? Chinese government demand per day a 200€ deposit showing on a bankaccount. So a 6 month course would require 180x200 eg 36000 € on a bankstatement. Does this also apply for a studentvisa?"

Based on our students' feedback, you don't need to show a bank statement when applying for a student visa. But be aware that it might vary according to country and visa office you are applying from.
