More about studying in Pasadena »
As the home of the Rose Bowl and the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena has historically been known for its competitive excellence. Students taking English courses in Pasadena will live and learn in the famously beautiful Southern California climate. Pasadena celebrates that year-round sunshine every January 1st, when it holds the famous Tournament of Roses Parade. Sports enthusiasts should also get a ticket to the Rose Bowl, the famous post-season college football game that happens alongside the parade each year. There is much more to Pasadena, however, than its annual Rose celebrations. Check out one of the best private art collections ever assembled at the Norton Simon Museum, which features examples of art movements spanning over 2,000 years. Examine some gorgeous architecture at the famous Gamble House. For film lovers, the Gold Class Theater is a must-see: tickets may be pricey, but this nightclub-cinema hybrid is one-of-a-kind. Once you've exhausted the city's best sites, venture out into the surrounding areas for some outdoor fun. Plan a hiking trip to Eaton Canyon Natural Area and explore the trails that lead to a beautiful 50-ft waterfall. Students at an English school in Pasadena also enjoy a close proximity to all of Los Angeles' best attractions. Develop and perfect your English in a scenic Southern California city famous for its love of sunshine when you choose Pasadena as the site of your language education.
